More to come later, I know I am way behind but soon I will be able to catch up...
later yall,
Well I am back on this little thing here. I know it has been a while so I will do my best to remember as much as I can.
Nov 19th, I was out at a place called Pete's Place out in West Siloam. I had never played there before but the guys said they had some bad experiences there. Heck I figured it was close to home so let's do it. Well I pulled in and the place didn't look like much. After I while I thought it was gonna be a pretty dead crowd
Nope
At around 11in the pm. That place was packed in full like some sardines. The sound system they had was nothing to brag about but it was a good show. I was having some problems with my snare drum
I kept braking lugs on it. So I had to rig it up to get me through the night. Over all I would say the show was about a 7 and I hope we get a chance to go back soon.
Nov 25th, well we ended up back at Blues City in Tulsa, OK. This was.......well how do you say it. This was our paid practice gig. It's just a small little biker bar, when I say small I mean really small
. Well the show was ok, but.......I did some moving that week and I smashed my thumb in a truck door
So yea I was in a bit of pain. Throughout the night I hit my thumb a few times with a drumstick and it didn't feel to good. I was ready to end the night and the guys wanted to keep playing. Again my snare was acting up. So I had to rig it up again.
We made it through.
Dec 3rd. Opened up for The Great Divide down at the Wormy Dog Saloon In Oklahoma City. Was a really good show. We didn't get paid to much cause we opened up for them but it was good times. The guys were really nice and it was good to sit down and talk with them for a bit. I didn't stay for all of their show cause I was tired and cold. I stayed the night at my good friend Jeff's house. Thanks for letting me crash at your place brother. The next morning we went and got us some grub (that's food) at Moe's. When you walk in the employees all yell out "WELCOME TO MOE'S". That is my favorite part
Since I was in Oklahoma City I stopped in at the Guitar Center (my favorite place). I picked up some repair parts for my snare so I would not have so many problems with it. I got just the parts I needed and fixed it up good
So hopefully no more problems during shows anymore.
Well it's winter and I hope everyone has all the wood cut and the sweaters ready to wear
Snow was suppose to fall here today but we didn't get any. Soon I am sure it will start to fall all over the place.
That's it for now. I have some shows coming up this weekend and I know I have been slacking in the picture department but the battery will be charged and ready to get some new photo's out there. C ya on the flippy.........................................
Well headed out to Roxies on Thursday to check out the Stoney Larue and Travis Lineville show. I must say it was a lot of fun. I have to get my fix of those two at least once a year. I used to check Travis out every monday down at the deli when I was living in Oklahoma City. So it was good to see and talk to him for a while. The show was really neat. It wasn't all rowdy and people dancing all over the place. Everyone just grabbed a seat, a beer, and had a good time. Old Jason came out there for a while and him and I shot the bull about what was going on with the band and what not.
I have been doing the usual ebay activity. Selling off stuff I don't need anymore. The other day I was taking apart stands and stuff. Getting all the parts I can off of them. I will have to throw away all of the scraps that I will not be using. It's different having all of this room around. I am so used to carrying a lot of stuff around. Tommorow is the last day for all of my auctions. I will need to box all that stuff up and get it ready to ship out. Heck, I need the money too.
Been doing some picking on the old guitar
trying to learn some new chords and progressions. I hope to get back into writing some songs. Well I need me some new strings too, now that I think of it. For both my guitars. I am just slacking in the guitar area lately.
Well I am off to bed or to watch me some tv. I might wanna catch up on some sportscenter since I didn't watch much football during the day.
peace.............................
Well it has been a while once again. I have been very slow on updating the old news page lately.
First off, out at Roxies for the Halloween Bash was off the hook yo. The place was packed and people were all dressed up. I am not sure who won the costume contest but I am sure it was close. It's always a good time out there.
This past weekend was a lot of fun. Played Friday night at the Snorty Horse in Mt. Vernon, MO and then at The Alibi on Saturday.
Snorty Horse-I must say I was very impressed with the place. The new owner did one heck of a job cleaning that place up and hopefully in time it will be hip hop happening. One of the bartenders was a fire breathing pyro. All the staff was really great and it was good times bieng there. We had such a good time I was not going to leave until we got another date from him. I hope that the Snorty Horse will be on our regular rotation. Good times!!!!
The Alibi-Now I have played The Alibi before, so I knew a little of what to expect. Of coarse this time I was with a band that I actually liked playing with. So I knew that my spirits would be a lot better than the time before. All I can say about that show was WOW!!!! What a good time. It took a little while to get everyone in the party mode, but once everyone started to loosen up, the place was packed and everyone was on the dancefloor. Special thanks to Jill for having us out there. She was just excellent to us in everyway. We hope to go back there sometime in the very near future.
Lately I have found myself back on ebay. I am selling off a lot of equipment that I am no longer using. In some ways it is hard to part with things, but if I am not going to use it anymore then it's time to sell it off. I am going to do my best and not try to buy anything as well. Most of the time I sell something and then I get the money and spend it on something I don't need again. I am sure there are other people out there that have the same problem as me.
Well it's off to bed. It's Survivor Thursday tommorow and things are getting good.........
Yea I know it has been a while since I have posted anything. I will try to remember as much as I can.
We did that show out at Studio 10 in Tahlequah, Everyone wanted to know what the place was. It's a health club. I got there early and looked around for a bit to see where it was we were to be playing. Grabbed me a Dr. Pepper and chilled. I enjoyed watching the volleyball players. I am to old to be doing that sort of thing
. The place was really nice, I think they are going to do well. The staff was friendly and the ownwers seemed good too. We did the show and it started to get a little chilli. We had to take a good 15 minute break to get warmed up and then we finished it off with a bit of a bang. Thought the cops were going to be called a few times but we managed to keep them off of our backs til we got done.
Next was the Halloween party at Roxies. Man was that place packed. It was one heck of a show, and there were some good costumes there as well. I saw some friends that I had not seen in a while and it's always good to see how everyone is doing. I got home and you can bet ya I was tuckered out. Unfortunatley, I didnt have anyone take pictures for me. Where is old Butterball when you need him.
That is gonna sum it up for now, I gave you the quick version, it's getting late and I need to get me some shut eye
Well this weekend was pretty dull since I didn't have to work or anything. They have about a milliion flea markets and resale shops so it was time to check them out and see if I could find some deals or something. There were a few bargains here and there but nothing really special. Nothing that I could not live without. One day I will get serious and do some bargain shopping.
Went out and say my buddy Garron play in his other band. He plays with the Salsa Kings. I must say I was very impressed. There are about 10 people in the band so there was not that much room on stage. They sounded really good. I would go back to listen to them again anytime.
It's cold weather time.
It is starting to get down in the temerature area. It was really nice for a while, just open the door and let the cold in for a while. This morning it was, close that door it's getting cold in here. Just as long as the air conditioner is off so the bill doesn't go sky high.
The new website has been posted for the Badwater Band. Feel free to give it a click and check it out. There are a few links and what not that still don't work just yet. The bugs will get worked out in time.
Well that's all I got........
It was a very hectic weekend for some, and a very exhausting for others. First off I was riding with Garron for the weekend, so I went over to his place and got everything loaded up. We had to be at the Wormy Dog by 5:30, we showed up around 5:45 so not to late. Of coarse we were the first two to show up and get everything ready. The rest of the guys showed up shortly after so that felt really good. We went through a sound check and got everything done and out of the way and it was time to get some food in our belly's. We had Miss Amanda Cunningham open up for us and she was a real treat. I have talked to her several times through email but never met her face to face. So it was good to meet her in person. Our show was good people were rocking out. We had a few guests show up for the festivities. Old Kevmo was in attendance, and he brought his Mom and Main Squeeze out to have some fun. It's always good to visit with him. We let him up to jam out on a song. My kit is always open to you brother. Keep on doing what you do. There were some other guests, some of the guys from Tucker Road showed up, and one guy from Texas Jack. After a while it felt like a big jam session.
After the show it was time to get cleaned up and some sleep. Well that didn't happen either. We got to the hotel and it was party time
The guys picked up a case of happy juice
broke out the acoustic
guitar and we had ourselves a bit of a pow wow. We just passed the guitar around in a big circle and everyone just played something they knew. After a while we looked up at the clock and it was four in the morning.
We needed to get some rest. Garron and I ran off to the room and got some shut eye.
The next morning we got up around ten or so. The other guys had left for Fort Worth already. I don't think they got much sleep.
Once Garron and I got things rolling it was a bit easier. We listened to the Texas -vs- OU game on the radio for the first half. I must say I was really happy with the turn out of the first half. It seemed like it took forever, but Garron and I managed to get to my cousins house right at half time. We were so tired I thought I was going to pass out. The turn out of the game was just as I hoped Texas 45 OU 12
It was good to visit with my cousin Paul for a bit. He filled me in on all of what was going on in the family since I am not around all the time. I also want to thank him for letting Garron and I crash out at his place while we were in town.
After a while it was time to head out to the club. We got there fifteen minutes early, wich is always a good thing. The guys arrived right after us and I was impressed. The entire band showed up on time, we did our sound check and were ready to rock. Like the night before after sound check it was time to eat. Jason, Bobby, and Myself rolled on over to Joe's pizza next door. It was pretty good pizza. We ordered a big giant pizza and split it
I had never been out to Woody's before so I was not sure how the crowd was going to react to us on stage. After we got through the second tune people really started to open up. I think we did a fabulous job. We showed up on time did our thing. After we were done people were stopping all of us and telling us what a good job we did. So hopefully we will be able to go back there some time really soon.
The next afternoon we went and had lunch with my Grandma and my aunt Janice. We went to Chilis and let's just say the service was not to good
I kept a happy mind cause I don't get to see my relatives to often and I wanted to have a good time. I got the chance to visit with all of them and see how things are going. Grandma told me about the time my Dad took her to eat at Hooters and we had a good laugh about it. Overall it was good to visit will all of them.
The drive home seemed like it took forever. Garron drove us down there so it was only right that I drive us back up. Why is the drive back always the worst. I thought it was never going to end!!!!
Check out some pics from the weekend PICS FROM THE WEEKEND
Whew, that about does it for today.......................
Well my birthday is over and it was fun. I didn't do very much. Ate at Arby's rented some movies. Nothing special really!! That is just the way I like to roll on my birthday. Not a lot of huss and fuss about stuff. Bought a pecan pie at Wal Mart. I wasn't paying attention to the package but it was sugar free. Didn't really taste that bad, but you could tell it didn't have real sugar in it.
This weekend is busy, busy. I am going to head over to Garron's (bass player) house around 2:45pm load up my stuff and head for Oklahoma City. Should have a good crowd over at the Wormy Dog Then Saturday night we will be playing at Woody's Tavern in Fort Worth. I have never been there but I have seen pictures and heard some really good things. Also saturday is the big game between TEXAS -vs- OU. It is sure to be a good game and you can bet we will be tuning in. I have been getting in touch with some relatives of mine in the Fort Worth area and I am hoping that we might be able to meet up somewhere and have some family time. Of coarse there is not plan of action so we will just have to see how things go.
If you cant make it out to any of the shows, I will posting all the pics from this weekend on my site. You might no be there in person but you can look at the pics an be there in spirit.
Well it's late and I think I am going to hit the sack and get me some shut eye
Take care everybody.....................

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!
Yes, today is my birthday. I am twenty
Let's just say I am getting old. I am not sure what I am going to do but I am sure it wont be much. It is hard to believe that it has already been a year since my last birthday. Where has the time gone.
Well that's about it....................
Friday-Started the weekend off out at Roxies in Tahlequah. Made sure I got out there nice and early to get everything set up. That place doesn't start getting rowdy til later in the evening. We had a kind of a last minute opening band thing. Two of the guys from south 40 showed up. They just plugged in their acoustics and one of the guys played harp. They sounded really good. I was impressed. I even jumped back on the kit and played a few songs with them. The crowd was to be expected. Rowdy, loud, and ready to party. Overall it was a great night and good times. I got home and I was ready to hit the sack. Took me a shower, climbed into bed and I was out like a light. I need the sleep cause I have a 3 hour drive ahead of me the next day.
Saturday-Got up around 10:00am freshened up, started doing some minor packing. It was off to Norman to play at the Red Dirt Bar & Grill. Whipped into town around 4pm and took a little nap til 7pm. Got up and it was off to the show. Now the OU -vs- Kansas State game was going on 2 blocks from where we were playing so I knew it was gonna be hard to get there. I didn't know it was gonna be that hard. It took me 45 minutes to get through 4 blocks. There were road blocks everywhere. I had to go around everywhere I turned was wrong. So finally I got there, got set up and it was Miller Time. Whew...... The show was good. We had a good after party. After a while people were a little partied out. The club said we did a really good job, and we got tons of compliments. So good on us.
This weekend I will be out at the Wormy Dog in OKC on Friday, then it's off to Woody's Tavern in Fort Worth, TX on Saturday. It's gonna be another hectic weekend, just the way I like it.
later yall...................................
